Hopefully more honest obituarists than the BBC will record that Lord Stratford, a Labour man all his days, made it his business to destroy the livelihoods of those members of the English rural working class who depended on fox-hunting in order to put bread on their tables.

At least he can go his grave knowing that if his intention was to break the spirit of country people, then he failed.
